What People's Say About Place

Absolutely loved this restaurant. Cozy ski vibes. Rotating menu, sharable food, 100% nut free.

Great food, I always suggest going with the specials, and at this restaurant it is never a disappointment. It offers tapas / small plates or entrees. It is family friendly but a bit pricy. The black bean ravioli is incredible!

Food was good overall. We had an order forgotten about, but we were compensated for it.

We’ve dined here many times and always had a great experience, so we decided to host our wedding weekend welcome party/rehearsal dinner. The food was AMAZING. May as well have been individually ordered meals, the food was that well prepared. Perfectly cooked, tasted delicious, from start to finish. Bartenders were super accommodating, handled the crowd dropped off at the start by shuttle bus like pros. Thanks to co-owner Wendy for helping us plan months in advance. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dining or event experience!

Another hidden gem in the little town of Ludlow. Wine bar setting on two levels with that ski chalet vibe in the decor. Wife and I came here in late October and are glad we stopped in. They take their wine very seriously and the simple menu choices lend themselves to good pairings. We enjoyed the Jasper Hill Harbinson Cheese, served with delicious house made focaccia and some lovely preserves. Next we hit the thin crust pizzas, I enjoyed the Old Favorite with cremini and a blend of local mushrooms with mascarpone & Plymouth Cheese. Delicious! Settled on a lovely gruner veltliner which paired well with the food. Keep an eye on the season because they close at the end of October until ski season arrives and then only open Thursday through Saturday. But well worth the forethought to make a reservation for.

Wendy at Stemwinder catered my son’s wedding for 100 people and the food was amazing! The appetizers were raved about…especially the mini pizza bites. The grilled marinated short ribs were so tender and juicy and incredibly flavorful! And the dirty potatoes were so tasty! The staff was so friendly and courteous to our guests! And Wendy was so flexible and easy to work with during our planning! I highly recommend Stemwinder for catering!

We had a reservation for New Year eve and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, so delicious that we ordered more. The new year pizza was really a hit ….It was unique. It was crowded but our guy was efficient! (And btw if you go to a restaurant , you want to take your time with your friends and family and being able to talk to them if the service slow down… ) so not an issue for us at all, but it was fast anyway. Food and all was a perfect experience!

This is difficult. Flavors were very good but they seem to run out of most the items we wanted and it was only 7pm. Strip steak was cooked perfectly but was extremely tough to chew. I wanted the Ribeyes but they ran out. The service was good, the bar was good. They have a very small menu which is fine but they shouldn't run out of food. Steaks can be held and become aged which make them even better. Beet dish excellent. Salmon was excellent according to my wife. Potatoes next to my steak was delicious! Be it's hard to say because the steak was a 3 but the rest was a 4.
